GrandPals builds empathy and connection across generations.

A complete intergenerational program supporting schools and communities as they build meaningful relationships—together.

We enable communities to run meaningful intergenerational programs that connect older adults with students (grade 5+) for shared learning, storytelling and friendship.

Intergenerational Programming

Why GrandPals Matters

When generations connect, everyone grows. Through weekly storytelling and reflection, students build empathy, communication skills, and confidence. GrandPals experience purpose, joy, and connection.

In the Classroom

How it Works

The GrandPals Program is an intergenerational initiative that connects an elementary school class with a small team of GrandPals (adults 55+) to engage in weekly, open conversations providing a path for connection and learning through storytelling.

Our tools, training, and community pages help local organizers recruit volunteers, match them with classrooms, and track progress, all in one place.
