Five, four, three, two, one—Happy New Year! On December 27, 2011, Carol went to Cuba with her husband Gary. This was her second time going to Cuba but she was happy and excited to go back to celebrate New Year’s. She loves to travel and has been to a lot of places.
She has been to Cuba, China, the United Kingdom, Italy, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Mexico, United States of America. She has been almost all over Canada and she would like to see the rest.
In Cuba, Carol and Gary were excited to be there and relax on the beach but on the way down the stairs Gary hurt his foot. They were walking down the stairs to the beach and Gary stubbed his toe and it started to bleed a lot!
Carol didn’t want it to ruin her vacation, so she went swimming without Gary because he was on the sand with his toe wrapped up. Gary spent the rest of the trip not being able to do much other than sit and relax. Carol didn’t mind too much because this is exactly why she was in Cuba, to relax and enjoy the sun. After they were done at the beach they went out for dinner.
At dinner they met some people from Austria and they became friends. After dinner, they spent time together and talked about their different backgrounds. Carol and Gary enjoyed hearing about Austria. A couple of days later, they went home and kept in contact.
It's been a while since they've contacted each other, but I'm sure it will happen again soon. After all Carol is a very nice person. The good news is that Gary went to the doctor when he got home from Cuba and he received treatment that helped his foot heal. But next time they go back to Cuba, Carol will ask Gary to wear shoes instead of sandals!
